Neptune Festival Infographic
The Neptune Festival is an annual festival that takes place in Virginia Beach. When designing the infographic, the event's locality influenced many of the design choices. With it being right on the oceanfront the poster features a blue monochromatic color scheme with the various shades being used to create contrast and visual hierarchy. A prominent feature of the poster is an illustration of the Neptune statue which is a staple of the Virginia Beach oceanfront with the turtles and fish serving as supporting elements to guide the viewer’s eye across the poster. It features two fonts, one a decorative san serif font used to compliment the Roman roots of Neptune. The other is a script font to contrast the geometric previous font and represent the waves of the ocean. The bottom portion displays a map of the events accompanied by stylized icons to represent them.
